Wine tasting

Gambino winery. Long tables with platters of cheeses, summer sausages, olives, artichokes, olives, eggplant, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and the most amazing yellow cornbread with a brown, crunchy crust.

Oh, and the wines....
Feudo white: quite grassy mineral
Tifeo white: citrus bouquet; like a dry reisling
Cantari red: spicy pepper with a touch of vanilla; deep cherry colour. Similar to cabernet franc
Tifeo red; lighter colour; similar to a pinot noire.

We'll all definitely be sleeping on the way down the mountain.
Saw Mount Aetna from afar but food definitely trumped geography when we selected our tours.
